| ObjectiveThe subject is to compare the curative effect of under medication of Gui-zhi-fu-ling-wan only or along with catgut eay effects in the treatment of the blood stasis type of PCOS.Methods50patients from the outpatient department in China Blue Intergrated Chinese Medicine clinic Taipei, were selected according to the diagnosis criteria, divided into2groups.25cases among the treatment is under only medication of Gui-zhi-fu-ling-wan (the control group) and the other25cases is under Gui-zhi-fu-ling-wan alone with catgut embedding therapy (the treatment group). The treamtment group selects2sets of acupoints:1.xuehai, daimai, guanyuan2. qihai, tienshu, ciliao. Catgut embedding group (treatment group) embeds thread once a week, and the chosen acupuncture point is alternated to the two sets in turns every week during treatment. Each treatment takes3months as a complete course for both of the groups. To observe clinical efficacy in improving menstrual abnormalities and infertility among the2groups before and after the treatment. Established a database for statistical analysis by SPSS17.0.ResultsIn the clinical observation of the improvement of the abnormal menstrual cycle and pregnancy status, the total efficiency of the treatment group has the rate of84.0%, which the control group has a rate of68.0%. According to the statistical analysis, the two groups has a significant difference (P<0.05). Also among which,3cases of the treatment group is successfully becoming pregnant and1case of the control group is pregnant. Both of the two groups have come to a result which the menstrual cycle has either become normal or has shortened the cycle after treatment. And the improved condition is significant compared to those before the treatment(P<0.05). The curative improvement of the treatment group is especially significant.(compared with medication-only group, P<0.05).ConclusionsThe efficacy of acupoint catgut embedding joint Gui-zhi-fu-ling-wan treatment in patients of blood stasis type of PCOS, has a curative effect, significantly better than with traditional Chinese medication only. And the treatment has fewer side effects, besides shortening the treatment period. It is considered a safe, simple, effective choice of treatment that also improves the quality of life of the patients. It is recommended as its quick and simple advantages that adapts to the modern lifestyle right now, a good way for the treatment of infertility and menstrual disorders, and worthy of clinical application. |
