Clinical Research On Combination Chinese Medicine And Acupuncture In Treating Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

Objective:To observe the effect of kidney-nourishing and phlegm resolv-ing therapy combined with the acupoint catgut embedding therapy on patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome to explore the mechanism of this treatment from the view of Chinese traditional medicine.Method:The 81 cases of polycystic ovarian syndrome were divided into three treatment groups 75 cases have finished the whole treatment.Group A,(25cases)treated by kidney-nourishing and phlegm-resolving therapy and acupoint catgut embedding therapy.Group B (27cases) treated by kidney-nourishing and phlegm-resolving therapy.Group C (23cases) treated by metformin,respectively.After 3 menstrual cycles, we can reveal the characteristics of the therapies,and build a solid foundation for the further research in the future.Result:Total clinical curative effect:The group A was 92.00%,the group B was 74.07%.the group C was 69.57%.There was statistics difference between A and B,A and C.There was not statistics difference between B and C,imply the curative effect of group A excel over the group B and C,the curative effects of group B and group C are about to equal.The treatment of all of the three groups can improve the endocrine statuo of PCOS patients.The three groups all can improve the acne.Group A can improve the T-G.There is no significant different on T level lowering of the three groups.the groupA and groupC can also lower LH/FSH.The curative effects of Group A and Group B excel over the Group C on improving the FPG.Group A and C excel over the Group B on improving the FINS.The treatments of all of the three groups can improve the IR of PCOS patients.the treatment of group A and C has better effect on HOMA-IR improvement than the groupB.The treatment of the three group also can decrease the BMI.waistline and hipline of PCOS patients. The treatment of the three group also can improve the quantitative score of TCM symptoms of PCOS patients.the group A and B have better effect than group C.Conclusion:The kidney-nourishing and phlegm-resolving therapy.com-combined with the acupoint catgut embedding therapy is an effective treatment in PCOS with IR.The effect maybe achieve by this treatment through regulating the function of hypothalam-pituitary-ovary axis and the endocrinal environment in the patients with anovulatory in fertility.
