Clinical Observation Of Manipulation Structural Dynamic Therapy Based On The Structural Dynamic Studying Model

ObjectiveThis prospective and randomized clinical study is to compare Structural Dynamic therapy and conventional conservative therapy for the patient with low back pain and leg pain based on the effect, eficiency and safety of different therapy.MethodThe study design is Prospective randomized parallel one-blinded study. The patients was randomizedly separated into two groups, which are therapy group and control group, the patients in therapy group(n=26) were intervened by Structural Dynamic therapy, the patients in control group(n=22) were performed conventional conservative therapy, which included acupuncture, conventional manipulation, medicine and physical therapy. The effect were evaluated with Oswestry disability index (ODI) and visual analogue scale(VAS) before and after treatment. One assistant record the total time of treatment for two groups to compare the efficience, During and after therapy, we record all of the adverse event for analyzing the safe of treatment. All of data were analyzed with SPSS13.0software.ResultBoth of two groups can alleviated significantly the pain VAS score and ODI (P<0.05), the improved extent in ODI and VAS are similar between therapy group and control group (P>0.05), the time of treatment for the all patients in therapy group (2times for every patient) are significantly shorter than the control group (5times for every patient)(P<0.01).In both of two group, no adverse event was observed. ConclusionThe study show that both control group and structural dynamic therapy group are effective to reduce pain and improve funciton, but structural dynamic therapy has better efficience compared with conventional conservative therapy for the patients with low back pain and leg pain. Structural dynamic therapy is a safe and effective therapy, which can be recommended to use in outpatient department for the patients with low back pain and leg pain.
