Object iveTo reveal the mechanism of Modified Jiaotai Pills in treating type2diabetes mellitus by observe effect of Modified Jiaotai Pills on insulin resistance in type-2diabetic rats which used Modified Jiaotai Pills, in order to improve the level of prevention and treatment in type2diabetes mellitus Clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacy, and lay a solid foundation in further development for New drugs of traditional Chinese Medicine in treating type2diabetes mellitus.MethodsPrepare the type2diabetes mellitus animal model with insulin resistance by high fat diet combined with intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ). The model SD rats which successful prepared were randomly divided into5groups, high and low dose group, the positive control group, model group and normal control group. High dose group and low dose group were fed with Modified Jiaotai Pills, the positive control group were fed with metformin hydrochloride solution, model group and control group were fed with the right amount of physiological saline. In the Delivery period, observate the general condition of the SD rats such as water intake, urine volume, weight, diet and so on. After four weeks of observation, test biochemi stry, Serum insulin, cytokine and other idex of them by Trace blood glucose meter, Biochemical self analyzer, radioimmunotherapy.ResultsCompared with the model group, the fasting plasm glucose (FBS), serum insulin (Fins), serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein (LDL-C),gate Aspartate amino transferase (AST) and alanine amino transferase (ALT),tumor necrosis factor (TNF alpha), interleukin 6(IL-6) in the water of the rats was significantly reduced in the group which used Modified Jiaotai Pills as well as the insulin sensitivity index (ISI), high density lipoprotein (HDL-C) level was increased significantly, and we got that the associated symptoms improved significantly.ConelusionThe Chinese traditional medicine Modified Jiaotai Pill can reduce the blood glucose levels in the risk of type2diabetes rats, improved serum lipids and liver function of diabetic rats. The hypoglycemic mechanism of action, possibly by reducing blood inflammatory factors, such as tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), interleukin6(IL-6) level, improve insulin resistance, as well as increased insulin sensitivity, in order to achieve therapeutic effect...
