| ObjectiveTo investigate the influence of acupuncture on Leptin and FFA on weight loss, to explore the mechanism of losing weight by acupuncture and IR.Method50SD rats were fed with high fat diet to induce obesity in two months the other10rats were fed given a standard diet as controls. Body weights were measured at each weekend in this period.30obese rats randomly divided into3groups, which included model group with high fat diet only, acupoint group with acupuncture zhongwan, zusanli, sanyinjiao, non-acupoint group with acupuncture non-acupoint. Link to the electronic acupuncture machine,20minutes each time, one time each day. The rats of the control group and the model group were fitted in the fixed machines20minutes each time without acupuncture. The treatment successively lasting30days. The level of serum Leptin, INS, FFA, TG, TC were measured.ResultBy the end of8week, weights, Lee’s index, ISI of AG, NG, MG rats were significantly greater than those of CG(P<0.05). There is no significant difference in weights, Lee’s index and ISI between AG, NG, MG (P>0.05). After electroacupuncture, weight, Lee’s index, serum content of FBG, INS, ISI, Leptin, FFA, TC, TG from AG were significantly decreased compared with MG and NG(P<0.01).FBG, INS, FFA from NG were decreased compared with MG (P<0.05), but obvious change was not observed in weight, Lee’s index, ISI, Leptin.ConelusionThe good regulation of acupuncture on level of the serum Leptin, FFA possibly is an important link in improving the resistance of insulin with the obesity. They may make a cooperative effect that participate in IR related to obesity. Compare with non-acupoint, acupoint exhibite a great effect. Moreover, reduce weight require a long term and another treatment will receive better effect when body is adapted to the stimulus. |
