| BackgroundSepsis is a huge threat faced by the current ICU. The shock and multi-system organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) arising from Sepsis have become one of the leading causes of death in the ICU. Also, they are the serious threat to the safety of the patient’s life, and incur high mortality. With the growth of age and the aging of the physiological function, senile anemia will happen because yellow bone marrow and fibrous tissue will replace red bone marrow. Elderly patients are easy to be infected by Sepsis due to the prevalence of underlying diseases, organ dysfunction, and immune function decline. Furthermore, sepsis would incur anemia. Elderly patients with cardiopulmonary low compensatory ability of the risks associated with increases, such as:heart, brain, lung, kidney and other organs have varying degrees of damage caused by anemia. So, the elderly sepses with anemia increased the damage of the original underlying diseases, and elderly anemia in patients with sepsis mortality compared with simple senile sepsis increased mortality, and further accelerate death in patients with. According to foreign statistics, during sepsis complications there are40%of serious infectious diseases which incur anemia. Whereas in the domestic, Less information on retrospective analysis of infections caused by anemia is reported. Therefore, it is important to improve the diagnosis and treatment of elderly sepsis, anemia. However, it is rarely reported in the domestic and foreign clinical and also Chinese medicine has few researches on this field. So, in-depth study in anemia, especially in Chinese medicine regulation and local treatment advantage, would yield positive clinical significance.Objective Through preliminary small sample research on Shen Mai injection, it is tested that Shen Mai injection can improve the elderly patients with sepsis and reduce the incidence of complication with anemian.Methods60patients are chosen based on the diagnostic criteria. They are randomly dividend into control group and treatment group. Control group are received conventional therapy. Treatment group are received both conventional therapy and Shen Mai Injection (5%Glucose Injection250ml+Shen Mai injection40ml/intravenous infusion, and qd). The period lasts for1week. During the period, it is observed and recorded about the main symptoms, Hb, HCT, CKMB, BNP, the PA, Cr, APTT, APACHE-II score, and28-day survival rate of change.Results1. From the above research,88.89%is accounted for TCM syndrome in elderly patients, and the left is about empirical. Specifically, the main symptoms of this disease include fever, pale complexion, fatigue, weakness, loss of appetite, cough, and expectoration.2. The Hb and HCT of two groups were both higher than before. Specifically, Hb and HCT of treatment group were higher than control group apparently (P<0.05). But, CKMB, BNP, Cr and APACHE-II of treatment group is lower than control group (P<0.05). However, PA, APTT, and28days survival rates before and after treatment were not improved significantly.Conclusion1. Elderly patients with sepsis, anemia TCM syndromes deficiency mixed with the main, and therefore treatment must be emphasized that the "evil attack" at the same time taking into account the "righting".2. Shen Mai injection can improve the condition of anemia, the function of heart and kidney, and the overall condition of the patients. Ultimately it can improve the quality of life of elderly patients, and it has positive clinical significance. |
