Objective:1. Evaluating the clinical effect of the treatment of nourishing kidney and repressing liver to improve the sustained active attention.2. Observing the effects of Kongshengzhenzhong elixation, which is a representative prescription of the treatment of nourishing kidney and repressing liver, to the sustained attention of ADHD animal models. To test the efficacy of Kongshengzhenzhong elixation in animal experiments.Methods:1. Clinical observation:Using the research methods of before and after their own controls, according analysising the attention quotient of the IVA-CPT test in children before and after treatment to evaluate the clinical effect of the treatment of nourishing kidney and repressing liver.2. Animal behavior experiments:40SHR which have been trained to reach formal testing standards included in the experiment are randomly divided into the Kongshengzhenzhong elixation High, medium and low-dose group, the methylphenidate group and normal saline control group. To Confucius Kongshengzhenzhong elixation, methylphenidate, and normal saline28days.We use5-choice serial reaction time task (5-CSRTT) method to observe the effects of Kongshengzhenzhong elixation on the sustained attention of ADHD animal models, i. e. correct rats, then analysis the orrect rats before and after treatment to evaluate the effect of Kongshengzhenzhong elixation in animal models.Results:1. Results of clinical studies (1) Before treatment, the combined attention quotient, auditory attention quotient and visual attention quotient in ADHD-C children compared to these in ADHD-I children are both the low side, but the difference is not statistically significant (P>0.05);(2) Before treatment, the auditory attention quotient compared to visual attention is the low side, but the difference is not statistically significant (P>0.05);(3) combined attention quotient, auditory attention quotient and visual attention quotient than those before treatment significantly improved after treatment, before and after treatment were significantly different (P <0.01)2. Results of animal behavior experiments:Sustained active concentration levels in SHR, the Kongshengzhenzhong elixation High, medium and low-dose group, the methylphenidate group are both increased after treatment, but no statistical difference (P>0.05), the normal saline control group significantly reduced (P<0.05); between the groups, the Kongshengzhenzhong elixation High, medium and low-dose group, the methylphenidate group are significant different from the normal saline control group (P<().05), the Kongshengzhenzhong elixation High, medium and low-dose group while no significant difference (P>0.05)Concl us i on:1. The the treatment of nourishing kidney and repressing liver can improve children continued active attention, and it has a certain clinical efficacy.2. The effects of Kongshengzhenzhong elixation on the sustained attention was significantly better than the saline control group.But before and after treatment, the degree of improving the sustained active attention was not significant, it may related to a higher baseline level of the sustained active attention in this study, also may related to the poor of SHR rats heterogeneity of ADHD symptoms.
