| ã€purpose】Identified the bacterial on the biomembrane of the double J stents with stitches.Discussed the potential risk of retrograde urinary infection it caused, and valued itsapplication in ureteroscopic surgery.ã€Methods】80patients with ureteral calculi were randomly divided into group I(40patients, the double J stents with stitches) and group II(40patients, the double J stentswithout stitches). All patients underwent mid-stream urine culture, urine routine andsediment analysis before operation and before removing the stents. All the stents wereseparated into three parts, and all the stitches in group I were separated into two parts. Allsamples were eluted by2ml normal saline. Bacteria in50ul sample were cultured, isolatedand counted by7%-8%fresh sheep blood culture and sabouraud culture media respectively. The bacteria were identified by the APIATB system.ã€Results】: There were8(20.0%) patients suffered from fever and symptoms of urinarytract irritation in group I, while there were7(17.5%) patients in group II(p>0.05). It took(55±5) RMB on perineal care and removing the stents in group I, while in group II everyone spent (360±0) RMB(p<0.05). Mid-stream urine culture positive rate(Colony count≥103cfu/ml) was10%before operation in group I, while12.5%in group II(P>0.05), and47.5%before removing the stents in group I, while35.0%in group II(P>0.05). Pyuriapositive rate was35%before operation in group I, while32.5%in group II(P>0.05), and42.5%before removing the stents in group I, while35.0%in group II(P>0.05).In groupI, the same strains were identified from all parts of one stents in17cases(42.5), and thetotal isolation rate was42.5%~65.0%,while40.0%(P>0.05),and40.0~55.0%(P>0.05). The same strains were identified from double parts of one stitches in17cases (42.5%), two or more than two strains were identified in4cases.ã€Conclusion】: Double J stents with stitche never raised the urinary tract infections, and ittook the patients less cost and less time to remove the stents with stitche. The generallyapplication of the double J stents with stitche will be advisable in ureteroscopic surgery. |
