Objective To explore the diagnostic value of plasma N-terminal-probrain natri-uretic peptide(NT-ProBNP) for heart failure with normal ejection fraction(HFNE F).Methods We enrolled30patients with HFNEF,30people with physical exam-ination as control group. They were examined by echocardiography, and selected plasma NT-proBNP were tested at the same day. Results Compared with the control group, the plasma levels of NT-proBNP were significantly elevated (P<0.01).The plasma NT-proBNP leve were negative-ly correlated with Em(r=-0.395,P<0.01),Em/Am(r=-0.292,P<0.05),and positively correlated with E/Em(r=0.455,P<0.001),LA-d(r=0.300,P<0.05) and LVPW(r=0.262,P<0.05).In HFNEF patients the plasma The plasma lever of NT-proBNP positively correlated with diastolic dysfunction degree and NYHA degree, and showed progressive increases (P<0.05) in proportion to the diastolic dysfunction degree and NYHA degree. The area under the receiver operation characteristics curve (AUC) for NT-proBNP was0.702(P<0.01).The best cut-off value was127.58pg/ml in diagnosing of HFNEF,the sensitivity, specificity were63.3%and83.3%,respectively.The AUC for E/Em was0.806(P<0.01).The best cut-off value was10.4in diagnosing of HFNEF,the sensitivity, specificity were90%and67%, respectively. Conclusion The levels of NT-proBNP can serve as a marker for the detection and evaluation of HFNEF. |
