Objective: To analyze pregnancy associated with diabetes and maternal bloodglucose with control during pregnancy on the newborn, and provide a reference for theclinical study on the short-term complications of infants of diabetic mothers. Methods: To select11,191cases of the January2009~December2011at the FirstHospital of Jilin University, diagnosed as infants of diabetic mothers (IDMS),hospitaldelivery in patients with completed date were151cases of IDMS to take aretrospective analytical methods to analyze the information,to observe the incidence rateof the short-term complications of IDMS.151IDMS were divided into fourgroups:(1).According to the gestational age (GA),these IDMS were divided intopreterm-baby-group (31w≤GA≤36+6w)73cases and term-baby-group(37w≤GA≤40+4w)78cases.Compare differences of the short-term complications of IDMS betweenthe two groups.(2).According to the information of the mother’s plasma glycemiacontrol, these IDMS were divided into well controlled plasma glycemia group(observation group1)72cases and poor controlled plasma glycemia group (observationgroup2)79cases.Then analyze the relationships of maternal blood glucose with wellcontrolled during pregnancy and the short-term complications of IDMS.Results:1.In three years, the incidence rate of IDMS is separately0.93%in2009,1.15%in2010, and1.90%in2011; The incidence rate of preterm group of IDMS in thethree years respectively were0.93%,1.34%and3.05%; The incidence rate of term groupof IDMS in the three years respectively were0.93%,1.15%and1.90%.2.Among theshort-term complications of IDMS,Large for gestational age84cases (55.6%), includingmagasomia51cases (33.8%),hyperbilirubinemia57cases (37.7%), hypoglycemia46cases (30.5%), neonatal wet lung41cases (27.2%), RDS19cases (12.6%), birth trauma17cases (11.3%), fetal distress16cases (10.6%),cardiac hypertrophy13cases(8.6%),hypocalcemia13cases (8.6%), asphyxia10cases (6.6%), small for gestational age10cases (6.6%), congenital malformations10cases (6.6%), intracranial hemorrhage5cases(3.3%), polycythemia2cases (1.3%), hypoglycemia encephalopathy2cases (1.3%),thrombosis1case (0.7%).3.The incidence rate of term group of IDMS for large forgestational age was significantly higher than that of preterm group of IDMS (p<0.05). The rates of small for gestational age and RDS in preterm group of IDMS were not obviously different (P>0.05). Diabetic mothers poor controlled plasma glycemia groupduring pregnancy (observation group2) for the rates of large for gestational age, hypoglycemia, cardiac hypertrophy, birth trauma, asphyxia, were significantly higher thanwell controlled plasma glycemia group (observation group1)(P <0.05); and the rates ofsmall for gestational age, hyperbilirubinemia,RDS, fetal distress, congenital malformations, hypocalcemia, neonatal wet lung were not obviously different between observation group1and observation group2.(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.In three years, the incidence rate of IDMS in our hospital isincreasing every year; The increasing incidence rate of preterm IDMS isdominant, suggesting preterm may be one of the adverse consequences of pregnancyassociated with diabetes.2.The short-term complications of151IDMS, the incidence rateof large for gestational age is the highest than other complications,in descending order:hyperbilirubinemia, hypoglycemia, neonatal wet lung,RDS, birth trauma, fetal distress, cardiac hypertrophy, hypocalcemia, asphyxia, small for gestational age, congenitalmalformations, intracranial hemorrhage, polycythemia, hypoglycemia, encephalopathy,thrombosis.3.The incidence rate of term group of IDMS for large for gestational agewas significantly higher than preterm group of IDMS (p<0.05); Mother diabetes haveeffect on the incidence rate of small for gestational age in preterm infants and RDS infull-term infants.4.Maternal blood glucose with control during pregnancy can reducethe short-term complications of IDMS.
