Objective:To detect the hMOF protein expression in renal cell carcinoma tissue, andexplore its relationship with the cliniopathological characteristics. Methods:Immunohistochemistry and qRT-PCR were to detect the hMOF expressionin the relationship between the normal kidney tissue and renal cell carcinomatissue. The hMOF expression and clinical features of RCC was analyzed. Results:The qRT-PCR results showed that there were4cases in9cases of kidneycancer (44.4%) which hMOF mRNA levels were decreased significantly. Theimmunohistochemistry results showed that there were39cases (62.1%,39/66)of renal cell carcinoma which hMOF protein expression was negative orweakly positive, only4cases (6.1%,4/66) which hMOF protein expressionwas negative or weakly positive, there was significant difference between twogroups (P<0.05). They in Fuhrman Ⅲrenal cell carcinoma was significantlylower than that in Fuhrman Ⅰ~Ⅱ, and it was significantly lower in poorlydifferentiated renal cell carcinoma than that in well-differentiated group.Inaddition,in hMOF lower expression group, the risk of lymphonode and distantmetastasis was increased. Conclusion:With increasing of Fuhrman grade, the expression of hMOF protein inrenal cell carcinoma tissue is decreased significantly. The hMOF protein maybe associated with the occurrence of renal cell carcinoma, and malignantdevelopment of severity.
