| Objective Ambroxol is a kind of sputum dissolve agent.The domestic and foreign research suggests that ambroxol still have anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effects.which is not fully knew.In this study,I would have observed the effect of ambroxol on IL-8, CRP,lung function of the patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.To explore the significance of IL-8, CRP in the mechanism of COPD and the relationship with the lung function; to evaluate the anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effects of ambroxol in the clinical treatment.Method60patients with AECOPD who accepted by the Department of Respiratory of the Fifth People’s Hospital of Da Tong from September2011to February2012. All patients are in the acute period, whose classification were moderate or serious degree, based on mensuration of lung function test. Sixty patients with AECOPD were randomly divided into group A (conventional treatment and ambroxol treatment group) and group B (conventional treatment group), with thirty patients respectively. Two groups of patients were not statistically different in the gender, age, smoking history.The patients in hospital in both group A and group B were given conventional therapy, including controlling oxygen treatment and anti-infection treatment, periods of treatment were10to15days. Additional, ambroxol injection with90milligram were added in the5%glucose with100milliliter to the patients in the group A. twice a day;5%glucose with100milliliter were given group B twice a day. The period of treatment were10to15days. As a result, the patients were in the steady stage of COPD. And to observe the level of IL-8by ELSIA. CRP by DIGFA method in blood serum and lung function index change of FEV1%pred. FEV1/FVC before and after therapy in two groups respectively.Compare the differences of the four indexes in two groups of patients.Results (1) The level of IL-8, CRP in blood serum of two groups after therapy (in the steady stage of COPD) were lower than that of before therapy(in the acute stage of COPD). There were significant differences (P<0.05);(2) The level of IL-8, CRP in blood serum of the group A after treatment were lower than that of group B. there were significant differences (P<0.05)(3)The lung function indexes such as FEV1%pred. FEV1/FVC of two groups after therapy (in the steady stage of COPD) were lower than that of before therapy(in the acute stage of COPD). There were significant differences(P<0.05);(4) There were significant differences in the lung function indexes such as FEV1%pred, FEV1/FVC of two groups after therapy (in the steady stage of COPD)(P<0.05);(5) There was a significantly linear correlation between the serum levels of IL-8, CRP;(6) There were inverse correlations with IL-8, CRP and FEV1%pred. FEV,/FVC.Conclusion IL-8and CRP took part in the forming inflammation of the airway. The ambroxol can decrease the level of IL-8, CRP in blood serum of patients with COPD, it had some kind of anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant effects for the patients with COPD. |
