ObjectiveRetinal hemorrhage on visual impairment is serious, even can cause blindness. When theretinal is examined,it is commonly performed by systemic or ocular disease induced retinaldamage.Timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment of retinal hemorrhage is a kind of effectivemeasures to restored, improve visual function and prevent the disease continues to develop.Thispaper analyze the relevant risk factors and the prevention measures of retinal hemorrhage for thehospital routine physical examination population aged over 45 years.MethodsSurvey sites located in the Shanxi Medical University first hospital physical examination center,Yingze District Taiyuan city Shanxi Province. The research target of crowd is 5077 people, they are over 45 years of age,of which the male 2753,female 2324,and theyhad a physical examination in the Shanxi Medical University first hospital physical examination center. The age distribution is from 45 to 86 years old, mean age 62.8±5.4 years. These personnel undertook many physical examinations, including blood biochemistry, blood sugar, blood fat and blood pressure, internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, abdominal Bultrasound and echocardiography, etc. In this paper, the diagnosis are derived from relativedepartments. The crowd was carried on the questionnaire survey and were diagnosed with retinalhemorrhage by non-mydriatic digital fundus photography.Use Spearson chi-square test andnon-conditional Logistic regression to analysis the risk factors of retinal hemorrhage on age, sex, smoking, drinking, diabete, heart disease, stroke, aspirin and hypertension in the crowd.ResultsA total of 193 people has the retinal hemorrhage, retinal hemorrhage accounted for3.8% inall surveys of the general population. In retinal hemorrhage male is 104, female is 89.Theiraverage age was 62.8±5.4, in which the male average age 61.3+ 5.9 years, the female averageage 63.2±5.1years .The retinal hemorrhage risk factors include age, gender, smoking, alcohol consumption, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, aspirin and hypertension. All factors of the investigation do Spearsonχ2test.Retinal hemorrhage associated withage, smoking, drinking, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, stroke and aspirin,in addition to the gender. The P value are≦0. 05.The statistically significant factors which were tested by the single factor analysis ofSpearsonχ2test were took into multifactorial unconditional logistic regression equation, retinalhemorrhage is corelated with age ( OR = 2.263, P < 0.05), diabetes ( OR = 9.215, P < 0.05),aspirin ( OR = 8.372, P < 0.05) and hypertension ( OR = 6.598, P < 0.05). However the facts ofsmoking, drinking, heart disease and stroke are not entered into the regression equation.Conclusions1.Retinal hemorrhage and age are correlated, and retinal vascular abnormalities increaseswith age.2.The tetinal hemorrhage risk with diabete is 9.2 times than non diabetic patients ,and thisproved that diabetes is the high risk factors of retinal hemorrhage.3.Hypertension is a significant risk factor for retinal hemorrhage, and it is crucial toeffectively control the blood pressure for the preservation of visual function .
