Objective:To survey the pathogenic fungi categories and the composition of tinea corporis and tinea cruris during2010to2011in Qingdao. Research the risk factors of tinea corporis and tinea cruris.Methods:The354specimens from patients with tinea corporis or tinea cruris in our hospital from August2010to August2011, were examined with the direct microscopic examination, culture and identification of isolates of pathogenic fungi. The risk factors were researched in the form of questionaire among patients with tinea corporis and tinea cruris (observation group with168cases) and normal people (control group with191cases) in our hospital from August2010to August2011.Results:The354specimens from patients with tinea corporis or tinea cruris in our hospital from August2010to August2011, were examined with the direct microscopic examination, culture and identification of isolates of pathogenic fungi. Observation group and control group were found to be associated with body weight, life-style etc (P<0.05).Conclusion:Dermatophytes were the primary pathogen of tinea corporis and tinea cruris in Qingdao at present, followed by Candida. Trichophyton rubrum was the most frequent dermatophyte. The risk factors of tinea corporis and tinea cruris can be overweight, male, smoking, sweats, diabetes, tinea manus and pedis etc.
