Objective: Through examining the expression of FHIT、p73 and IL-8 inthe first-degree relatives of the patients with gastric cancer before and aftereradication of Helicobacter Pylori, to further explore the carcinogenicmechanisms of Helicobacter Pylori and provide a theoretical basis for theeradication of Helicobacter Pylori in the people with a family history ofgastric cancer. Methods: Selected 25 cases of first-degree relatives of the patients withgastric cancer (Helicobacter Pylori infection-positive, pathologicalexamination of non-gastric cancer) as experimental group, and selectedanother 25 patients without family history of gastric cancer (HelicobacterPylori infection-positive, pathological examination of non-gastric cancer)ascontrol group randomly, using immunohistochemical methods to detect theexpression of FHIT, p73 and IL-8 in the gastric mucosa of experimental groupbefore and after Helicobacter Pylori eradication and control group .Results:1.Compared with the patients without family history of gastric cancer, the expression of FHIT in the first-degree relatives of the patients with gastriccancer decreased obviously, the difference was statistically significant(x~2=3.947,p=0.048), After eradication of Helicobacter Pylori, Theexpression of FHIT increased by 20%, not statistically significant(p>0.05). 2. The expression of p73 in the first-degree relatives of the patients withgastric cancer was 24%, higher than 12% of the patients without familyhistory of gastric cancer, but the difference wasn,t statistically significant(x~2=0.542,p=0.232), After eradication of Helicobacter Pylori, Theexpression of p73 declined but without statistical significance(p>0.05).3. Compared with the patients without family history of gastric cancer, the expression of IL-8 in the first-degree relatives of the patients with gastriccancer increased obviously, the difference was statistically significant(x~2=4.16,p=0.04), After eradication of Helicobacter Pylori, The expressionof IL-8 decreased with statistical significance(p<0.05).Conclusions:1. Family history of gastric cancer and Helicobacter Pylori have asynergistic effect in the development of gastric cancer, Helicobacter Pyloriinfection in the first-degree relatives of the patients with gastric cancer maylead to increase the risk of gastric cancer significantly.2. In the people with family history of gastric cancer and HelicobacterPylori infection, the eradication of Helicobacter Pylori on the prevention ofgastric cancer has a very important effect.3. The expression of FHIT and IL-8 is expected to become the molecularmarker of early warning in the people with a family history of gastric cancer, but p73 may be affect the development of gastric cancer with otherpredisposing factors.
