Intravenous infusion is an important clinical treatment.This paper constructed a new type ofintelligent infusion monitoring system based on wireless transmission,including the infusion controldevice,the wireless transmission unit,the central monitoring and management system.System isequipted with real-time monitoring of the infusion rates,fluid status which can reflect whether there isabnormal situation,etc.This work includes three main parts:(1)The design of hardware circuits of the infusion systemwhich real-time monitor the infusion state of the patient and send the collected infusion informationby the wireless module.Information of infusion in this system include the voltage of batterypower,infusion rate, patient’s bed-number,etc.(2)The design of the wireless receiver unit,which is usedto receive information of each infusion monitor in time-sharing mode and transmit the information tothe central monitoring and management system through the USB interface.(3)Main functions of thecentral monitoring and management system includes:central control computer receives all the infusioninformation from the wireless receiver module,and decodes the information according to theprotocol,and then according to the received information to real-time monitor the infusion process;nurses can manage the patient’s information through the overall infusion information of thepatients,and generate reports.In order to ensure the safty of the infusion process,alarm happens whenabnormal status appears.Function of data playbacking,which records the whole drip infusion so thatthe doctor can review and analysis the data after the infusion.The intelligent infusion monitoring and management system featured of easy for use and lowcost.It not only alerts to remind dangerous situation reliably and timely,but also manages patient’sinformation scientifically including the functions of storage,query,printing and so on,which wouldbasically meets the requirements of the general wards.The design of the monitoring module based onlogistics network could ensure doctors and nurses timely access to patient infusion medicalinformation,providing better security,and also reduce the burden on health care workers,making themwork more efficiently.
