Objective:To investigate the clinical features of intrauterine adhesions, evaluating theefficiency of hysterscopic adhesiolysis and affecting factors. Methods:This retrospective clinical study analyzed59patients who underwenthysterscopic adhesiolysis to investigate the clinical features of intrauterine adhesions.Menstrual pattern and conception were recorded in the follow-up study to evaluate theefficiency of hysterscopic adhesiolysis and affecting factors. Results:The main clinical manifestation of intrauterine adhesions was menstrualabnormalities(60%),associated with the severity of intrauterine adhesions.Curettageon gravid uterine was the main predisposing factor to intrauterine adhesions.Theseverity of intrauterine adhesions was not related to the number of previouscurettage procedures. The rate of menstrual improvement was about54.3%and theconception rate after hysterscopic adhesiolysis was about54.3%.The menstrualpattern before and after operation did not appear to have a significant prognosticimpact on conception rate. In contrast, the severity of intrauterine adhesions appear toaffect the conception rate after operation. The conception rate in patients with mild, moderate and severe adhesions were83.3%、11.8%and5.9%respectively(P<0.05).Conclusion:Curettage on gravid uterine was the main cause of intrauterine adhesions. The menstrual pattern might reflect the severity of intrauterine adhesions to someextent. Hysterscopic adhesiolysis is an effective and safe method of choice forrestoring menstruation and improving conception rate. The severity of intrauterineadhesions had significant impact on the conception rate postoperative.
