Objective:To investigate the expression of XIAP and Smac in human’s non-small cell lungcancer (NSCLC) and the relationship with clinical significance and prognosis. Methods:The method of immunohistochemical was used to detect the expression of XIAPand Smac in70cases of NSCLC and70cases of non-cancerous adjacent lung tissues. Results:XIAP presents mostly (59/70) in tumor tissues with16high-expressions, whilemostly (52/70) in non-cancerous adjacent lung tissues with only5high-expressions.The statistics difference of these two sets of dada is meaningful (Z=-5.484, P<0.01).Comparatively Smac presents (63/70) in tumor tissues higher than (53/70) innon-cancerous adjacent lung tissues, with statistics difference (Z=-5.484, P<0.01).The expression level of XIAP and Smac in NSCLC tissue was closely related to thelymph node metastasis, TNM stages (P<0.05), but not to gender, age, the size oftumor and differentiation grades (P>0.05). Kaplan-Meier analysis don’t revealed asignificant impact on survival by XIAP and Smac protein in NSCLC (P>0.05).Conclusions:①XIAP and Smac express in both non-small cell lung cancer tissues andnoncancerous adjacent lung tissues, however, existing the difference of expressionlevels.②when NSCLC deteriorate, apoptosis/anti-apoptotic synchronize with tumorcell proliferation.③The expression level of XIAP and Smac in NSCLC have norelationship with the prognosis....
