Comparison Of Treatment Outcomes Between Conservative Treatment And Operation Treatment In The Distal Radius Fractures

【Abstract】Objective To evaluate the clinical difference of conservativetreatment and operation treatment in the distal radius fractures in theelderly．Methods Two hundred and three patients with an average age of46.4years were included．The mean follow—up was8months．Seventy-one cases weretraffic related injury，and others were simple falls．Fractures were classifiedaccording to AO classification system：46cases of A2，17cases of A3，16cases ofB1,18cases of B2,26cases of B3，31cases of C1，24cases of C2，15cases ofC3． Patients were grouped as conservative treatment group(132cases)andoperation treatment group(71cases)． Wrist pain was asscessed by VASmethod．Active range of the injured wrist was messured．Gartland and Werleyscore and Batra radiological score were calculated．Restults Significantdifference was not found between the two groups in active range of motion andVAS．Operation treatment group is superior to conservative treatment group inGartland and werley score and radiological score. Conclusion Comparedwith conservative treatment，operation treatment is better in the treatment ofdistal radius fractures．...
