Expression And Significance Of MMP-2、MMP-9Gene In Nasal Polyps

Objective To investigate the difference expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9) gene in tissue of the nasal polyp(NP)group and normal inferior turbinate group，and then do relative analysis and to investigate itsclinical significance in the patients.Methods Collecting45cases of NP and15cases of turbinate tissue as controlgroup in Affiliated Hospital Of Qing Hai University, and the nasal polyp group, the male21,female24cases, aged from18to71, the control group,8cases of male, female7cases, agedfrom20to61years old. Detecting the difference expression of MMP-2and MMP-9gene innasal polyps by real-time quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) method.And performed statistical analysis by software SPSS17.0.Results MMP-2and MMP-9were all expressed in the two groups, the expressionof MMP-2gene in NP(0.968±0.399) is increased significantly compared with controlgroup(0.6490.408)(P＜0.05), and the expression of MMP-9gene in NP(1.1980.543) isalso increased significantly compared with control group(0.7520.398)(P＜0.05).Conclusion Compared with normal group, the expression in NP group of MMP-2andMMP-9were increased in different degrees, which were may relevant with the occurrenceand development of Nasal polyp. Through some drugs effectively reduce nasal polyps inMMP-2, MMP-9activity, may have on the nasal polyp prevention, treatment and lowerrelapse rate has an important clinical significance.
