The small pigs can be used as experimental animals used in medical and other fields widly.Many medical research needs surgery,so it is essential to select appropriate anesthetics andanesthesia. In order to evaluate the anesthetic effects of emulsified isoflurane combined anesthesiaobjectively,Bama miniature pigs as experimental animals in this animals. Ketamine–HSING canbe used in foundation anesthesia by ear vein and emulsified isoflurane anesthesia was maintainedby intravenous injection pump.comprehensive monitor included general physiological indicators,biological reflex,effects of anesthesia,special monitoring indicators by use of internationallyrecognized IntelliVue MP30monitors, EEG-9200k type electroencephalograph, Datex-CapnomacUltimatm respiration monitor. Clinical operations validate anaesthesia effects of emulsifiedisoflurane combined anesthesia.Experimental results show that the induction of anesthesia of small pigs were smooth and rapidin foundation anesthesia by Ketamine–HSING and anesthesia was long and anesthesia recoveryperiod is short in maintain anesthesia by emulsified isoflurane.The miniature pigs can reach theappropriate depth of anesthesia, analgesic, sedative completely, good muscle relaxant, andminimal impact of biological reflex after Anesthesia10min. The indicators including temperature(T), heart rate (HR), respiratory rate (RR), oxygen saturation (SpO2), minute ventilation (MV),tidal amount (TV) end-tidal carbon dioxide partial pressure (PetCO2) reduced in varying degreesand blood pressure elevated firstly and declined afterward, but all the indicators are in the normalrange of animal physiology. The minimum effective alveolar concentration (MAC) is maintainedat between0.3%to0.36%. Miniature pigs electrocardiogram (ECG) changes show that theemulsified isoflurane anesthesia did not impact on small pig heart significant and the Miniaturepigs did not performance adverse symptoms including arrhythmia and myocardial schemia.Etroencephalogram (EEG) changes show that the Miniature pigs can reach the appropriate depth ofanesthesia.Surgery verify experimental results show that the changes of T, HR, RR, BP, SpO2, and otherphysiological indicators compared to anesthesia group were similar and no significant differencein implementation of embryo transfer and intra-abdominal exploratory surgery by emulsifiedisoflurane compound anesthesia. eyelid reflex was disappear and corneal reflex and anal reflexwere slow during surgery. The Miniature pigs did not show pain response and the sedative effect was good. The muscle did not show a strong tension force. In short, emulsified isofluranecompound anesthesia was enough to meet with the need of Clinical routine surgery.Synthesizing experimental results, the emulsified isoflurane compound anesthesia can producegood anesthesia in miniature pig.The effect of physiological indicators was in animalphysiological tolerance range. It was enough to apply to clinical treatment or scientific research inminiature swine.
