Prunus triloba L., one of the Chinese famous and traditional flowers, belongs to genus Prunus, family Rosaceae, which widely used in the north landscape. Currently, there were75varieties recorded in<DUS Testing Guidelines for New Varieties of Prunus triloba L.>, which are still scattered around and not collected to a centralized variety resources nursery. So this study focuses on variety survey of Prunus triloba L. in Beijing and Shenyang, collecting known varieties and exploring new germplasm, and then study on numerical taxonomy of Prunus triloba L, and build management information system of known varieties, revise<DUS Testing Guidelines for New Varieties of Prunus triloba L.>. The main results are as follows:(1) Investigated105variety resources of Prunus triloba L. in Beijing and Shenyang.Besides75varieties recorded in<DUS Testing Guidelines for New Varieties of Prunus triloba L.>,30varieties were new discovery.(2) The clustering results on numerical taxonomy study consistented with the original classification principle of Prunus triloba, and showed some other morphological indicators such as sepals and pistil also played an important role in classification.(3) Management information system of the known varieties database of Prunus triloba was built, which will promote the digital management and application on the varieties of Prunus triloba, and provides an accurate and convenient computer-aided tool for variety breeding and resources management on Prunus triloba.(4)The<DUS Testing Guidelines for New Varieties of Prunus triloba L.>was revised, as the result of including35test characters, in which there are14pre-requisite and21auxiliary characters. In summary, this research has important auxiliary significance in breeding new varieties, protecting resource, and contributing to industry promotion of Prunus triloba.
