In order to improve the welfare of the dairy cow and increase the dairy cow productionperformance during winter time in Heilongjiang Province, an experiment was conducted to determineand evaluate the environment of cow house, study the influence of the water temperature onphysiological function and production by using solar water heating systems engineering and electricheating trough. The results showed that:(1) A common phenomenon in all cow houses was lowtemperature, high humidity and high concentration of harmful gases, that could not meet the bestgrowing environment of the cow. It is suggested that heat preservation effect of the structure should bestrengthened and special air inlet port and air outlet flue of rooftop shoule be used in order to increastair ventilation of cow house.(2) Compared with drinking2.2℃ofwater, by drinking7.9℃and9.6℃ofwater, there was significant increase on daily feed intake (3.6and4.2kg, P<0.05) and daily waterintake (9.2and11.6L, P<0.05), the influence on daily milk production (1.8and1.0kg, P>0.1) andbutter-fat (0.14%and0.05%, P>0.1) was non-significant, For lactoprotein and SCC, there was nearlyno any influence. However, there was much larger influence to dairy cow by drinking14.6℃of water,daily feed intake and daily water intake had increased significantly (4.6kg and11L,P<0.05), theinfluence on daily milk production and lactoprotein content was also significant, increased by2.6kg (P<0.1) and0.22%(P<0.05) respectively, but butter-fat content was increased non-significantly by0.16%(P>0.05). During time of experiment, influence of the water temperature on breath frequencyand shell temperature of cows was non-significant.(3)When14.6℃of water was offered by solar waterheating systems engineering,9.27yuan could be obtained from per cow everyday while7.9℃of waterwas offered by electric heating trough,3.64yuan could be obtained from per cow everyday.(4)Compared with electric heating trough,Solar water heating systems engineering was a kind of efficient,energy-saving and environmental way, applied in dairy cow industry which can bring higher economicbenefit.
