The Research On Variation Of Stradiol, Progesterone In Urine From The Female Giant Pandas In Eproduction Period

In order to explore and master the regulation of the oestrus and gravidity,guide to development of the giant pandas’ breeding, improve the level ofpropagating in a further step, from2008to2011,9breeding seasons of4femalebearing giant pandas in Shannxi Rare Wildlife Rescue Breeding Research Centerwere studied. ELISA method was used to detect the capacity of the estradiol andgesterol in the daily urine of the individual, and a changing tendency chart ofthem had been drawn to compare and analyse, including two pregnancy andseven pseudopregnancy.The results were as follows:Among all the individuals, the level of estradiol in estrus begins to rise,then up to the peak, ranging from46.32to606.38ng/mgCr;Each pandas’progesterone reach the top among223.64and1413.05ng/mgCr in in the stage of pregnancy reaction, while the time last in the peak differently.(10—91d).The average estradiol of the two pregnant giant pandas are32.84ng/mgCr,34.97ng/mgCr in breeding season, respectively. During the whole breedingperiod, the peak of the estradiol level appears in the high tide of estrus and themiddle of pregnancy. The peak of estrdiol are125.82ng/mgCr、102.05ng/mgCrin the state of estrus，and167.39ng/mgCr（86d）、144.47ng/mgCr（114d）duringpregnancy, respectively. The trend accords with the “low-high（the height ofestrus）-low-high（pregnancy）-low”.The highest levels of progesterone are223.64ng/mgCr、622.71ng/mgCr in the stage of pregnancy. It lasts for about83-91days in high level. In this state, its change was stable and there was nosubstantial fluctuations, both means were55.53ng/mgCr、56.87ng/mgCr. Thechanging trend accords to the “low（the height of estrus）-high (fromhybridization to pregnancy reaction)-low(the disappear of pregnancy reaction)”the peak of Prenatal progesterone begin to decline sharply, the lowest pointmeans the birth draws near. The average value of progesterone is42.32ng/mgCr、42.76ng/mgCr during the breeding period, respectively.To pseudopregnant individual and pregnant individual, the average value ofestradiol and progesterone, the peak time of hormone, the duration of hormonein higher level and trends in hormone are quite different, no regularity.In different age, the average of estradiol in2-08#(20years),3-08#(5years) enjoy lower level(21.12ng/mgCr,19.02ng/mgCr), and in other middle-aged(6-13years) range from31.42to38.88ng/mgCr, including a special one(1-08#,11years),224.78ng/mgCr.There is no relevance between the average level of progesterone and theage.This study will supply some reference to promote the identification ofoestrus and pregnancy and breeding of pandas.
