244samples of flue-cured tobacco and soil samples from6typicalecological locations were studied in this paper, and analysis the soil pH and thecontent of soil nutrient in different terrain, landforms, types and texture of soil,discussed the distribution features of polyphenol substance of Honghuadajinyuan indifferent soil conditions, used variance analysis method to research the differences ofsoil pH, organic matter, available N, available P and available K in different soilconditions, used related and regression analysis method to research the relationshipbetween the polyphenol substance and smoking quality, cluster analysis and varianceanalysis were used to study the differences of smoking quality under different levelsof polyphenol substance, The main conclusions were as follows:(1)The polyphenol matter of Hongda in qujing areas was high, and thedistribution of chlorogenic acid and scopoletin were concentrated, and their averagecontent was23.84mg/g and0.09mg/g, respectively. The rutin was fragmented withthe average content of13.67mg/g.(2)The differences of the content of polyphenol substance were significantamong the varieties, growing regions and stalk positions. The content of chlorogenicacid among the varieties appeared as Hongda>Yunyan97>Yunyan87>K326>Yunyan85, the content of rutin appeared as Yunyan97>Yunyan87>Yunyan85>Hongda>K326, and the scopoletin content among the varieties had little difference.The content of chlorogenic acid of Huize flue-cured tobacco was the most high, andthe Qilin lowest, the content of scopoletin and rutin of Xuanwei was the most high.The content of chlorogenic acid and rutin among the stalk positions appeared as upperleaf>middle leaf>lower leaf, and the content of scopoletin were lower leaf>upperleaf>middle leaf. (3)The soil pH main were in the range of4.8to6.4, the content of organicmatter was rich, the amplitude of available N was from75mg/g to200mg/g, thecontent of available P was from4mg/g to24mg/g, the content of available K wasfrom75mg/g to225mg/g in Qujing tobacco growing areas, and the differences of thesoil pH and nutrient were significant in different terrain, landforms, types and textureof soil, among which, the landforms had the most influential effect on soil pH and thecontent of available P, the type of soil had the most influential effect on the content ofavailable P and available K. The distribution of soil pH and nutrient also had a largedifferent under the different conditions, among which, the terrain had the mostinfluential effect on the zone distribution of soil pH, and the landforms and the soiltype had the most influential effect on the zone distribution of available P andavailable K.(4)The content of polyphenol substance had obvious difference under thedifferent soil conditions, among which, the landforms and soil type had the mostinfluential effect, especially on the content of chlorogenic acid. The content ofchlorogenic acid among the topography appeared as channel> hills> mountain>pingba, and content of rutin were pingba> mountain> hills> channel, the content ofscopoletin were pingba> mountain> channel> hills. The content of chlorogenic acidamong the landforms showed as undulation land> platform land>gentle slope> flatland> paddy field, the content of rutin and scopoletin among the landforms appearedas flat land> platform> undulation land> gentle slope> paddy field. The content ofchlorogenic acid among the soil type showed as purple soil> red soil> limestone soil> new product soil> Paddy soil, the content of rutin appeared as limestone soil>purple soil> red soil> new product soil> Paddy soil, the content of scopoletinappeared as limestone soil> Paddy soil> red soil> new product soil> purple soil.The content of chlorogenic acid among the soil texture showed as loam soil> claysoil> sand soil, the content of rutin appeared as clay soil> loam soil> sand soil, thecontent of landforms appeared as sand soil> clay soil> loam soil.(5)The relationship between polyphenol substance and soil pH and nutrient were studied, and the result indicated that polyphenol substance had significant orvery significant positive correlation with soil pH and nutrient. soil pH had remarkedquadratic curves correlation with chlorogenic acid and scopoletin, and the regressionequations were y=-0.007x2+0.0972x-0.229(R2=0.5265,F=6.72*)and y=-0.2362x2+3.5445x+1.1903(R2=0.679,F=12.55**). Soil organic matter hadremarked quadratic curves correlation with chlorogenic acid and scopoletin, and theregression equations were y=0.0034x2-0.3829x+32.45(R2=0.8882,F=19.84**)and y=-3*10^(-05)x2+0.003x+0.0234(R2=0.9538, F=24.24**),and soilorganic matter had significant linear correlation with the equation fory=0.0168x+13.196(R2=0.524, F=6.72*). Soil available K had had remarkedquadratic curves correlation with chlorogenic acid and scopoletin, and the regressionequations were y=0.0002x2-0.0787x+30.593(R2=0.914,F=31.94**)and y=-3E-06x2+0.001x+0.0107(R2=0.9145, F=31.20**). Soil available P had veryremarked quadratic curves correlations with rutin and the regression equations werey=0.0002x2-0.0512x+14.88(R2=0.8306,F=19.54**), and had a significantlinear correlation with the equation of y=-0.0004x+0.1042(R2=0.382,F=5.37*).Soil available K had a significant linear correlation with rutin, and the the equationwas y=0.0032x+13.007(R2=0.5524,F=8.659*).(6)The simple correlation analysis showed that the three kinds of polyphenolsubstance had significant or very significant positive correlation with the scores ofsmoking quality, and the influence on quality characteristics of leaf tobacco andsmoke characteristics were the greatest. The cluster analysis and variance analysisindicated that the content of chlorogenic acid and rutin had significant difference, andas the content of polyphenol substance increased, the scores of quality features,stylefeatures and flue gas features were increased, and vice versa.
