With the development of human society, industrialization process is quickened ceaselessly, the emission of greenhouse gas which gives priority to carbon dioxide causes global warming, carbon source and carbon sink get into "carbon imbalance". Human begin to pay attention to the excessive emissions and hazard of the energy consumption, so the low carbon development will become the development trend all over the world.Combine low carbon concept with city landscape construction, ease the city carbon pressure have been imperative. Based on low carbon concept and basic theory, this paper elaborates the relationship of low carbon and city garden, application guidelines and principles. Based on the author’s investigation, the paper analyzes the present situation and problems of city gardens construction, makes clear that what kind of reasons have caused "high carbon" construction. It also summarizes the effective way of application low carbon concept into city landscape construction from several aspects, such as to respect our nature, reduce source of carbon, increase carbon sink and so on. In the end, the paper also analysis some outstanding cases, witch strengthen the practical value.This paper hopes the summary about low carbon designation can enrich the construction system, form a carbon model which suits our country’s city landscape construction development, bring its social significance, economic significance and ecological significance into full play, and finally become the important guarantee of low carbon target.
