The advantages of wheat photo-thermo-sensitive male sterile line are the line of dual-useand extensive restoring sources. The useful hybridized combination was easily selected inmale sterile line of importance status of wheat heterosis using. The basis of definitudephysiological and biochemical mechanisms are to clarify fertility changes of YMthermo-sensitive male sterile line wheat KTM3314A during development. The experimentwas studied on the following aspects: The proline, MDA, SOD, POD, CAT, super oxide anionradical, soluble sugar and soluble protein were determined in tassel and leaf of YMthermo-sensitive male sterazile line wheat KTM3314A at different developmental stages ofsowing date. YM thermo-sensitive male sterile line wheat KTM3314A, the affiliation betweenpollen fertility and the material content changes, were compared and analyzed in sterile andfertile conditions. The results obtained were as followings:1. In the first four sowing, at average daily temperature less than18.14℃, the proline intassel and leaf of YM thermo-sensitive male sterile line wheat KTM3314A less than theproline of later four sowing. The relationship between male sterility of KTM3314A andreduction of proline was intimate. The changes of malondialdehyde (MDA) content contrastwith the proline content. MDA changes closely related to the fertility of temperature-sensitivemale sterile line KTM3314A.2. The levels of SOD and CAT in tassel and leaf of YM thermo-sensitive male sterile linewheat line KTM3314A in fertile conditions higher than the levels of SOD and CAT in sterileconditions. The relationship between male sterility of KTM3314A and reduction of SOD andCAT was intimate. The exaltation of the levels of SOD and CAT closely related to the fertilityconversion of temperature-sensitive male sterile line KTM3314A. Addition and reduction ofSOD and CAT content between KTM3314A and the original same-type maintainer line wereclear in different sterile conditions. The collaboration of SOD, POD and CAT affectKTM3314A.3. In different sterile conditions, the discrepancy of super oxide anion radical in tasseland leaf between YM thermo-sensitive male sterile line wheat KTM3314A and the originalsame-type maintainer line, was exist, was not obvious in some developmental stages. In sterile conditions, the discrepancy of super oxide anion radical in tassel between YMthermo-sensitive male sterile line wheat KTM3314A and the original same-type maintainerline was obvious, super oxide anion radical content in KTM3314A were higher than inTM3314B. In fertile conditions, the discrepancy of super oxide anion radical in tasselbetween YM thermo-sensitive male sterile line wheat KTM3314A and the original same-typemaintainer line was not obvious. While super oxide anion radical were reducing, fertilityconversion occurred, from sterility to fertility. Reactive oxygen species metabolism wasabnormal main in tassel.4. In different sterile conditions, the discrepancy of soluble sugar in leaf between YMthermo-sensitive male sterile line wheat KTM3314A and the original same-type maintainerline was not obvious in different developmental stages. In infertile conditions, the discrepancyof soluble sugar in tassel between YM thermo-sensitive male sterile line wheat KTM3314Aand the original same-type maintainer line was obvious. In fertile conditions, the discrepancyof soluble sugar in tassel between YM thermo-sensitive male sterile line wheat KTM3314Aand the original same-type maintainer line was not obvious. While soluble sugar wereincreasing, fertility conversion occurred, from infertile to fertile. Changes in soluble proteincontent were basically consistent with changes in soluble sugar content. With the transferfrom sterility to fertility, soluble protein contents of YM thermo-sensitive male sterile linewheat KTM3314A increased.
