| Studies on plant male sterility are not only important to revealing of developing mechanism of plant flower organ and sexual growth, but also important to agricultural production practice, especially to crops hybrid breeding. Plant hormones, the key factors of signal conduction, can regulate the physiological process in different stages and has close relation with plant fertility. The thermo-photo-sensitive genic male sterile wheat is male sterile under conditions of low temperature and short day length, but fertile under conditions of high temperature and long day length. It paves a new way for the two-line system of utilizing the wheat heterosis, and became one of the three main systems of hybrid wheat at present.In this paper, the changes of IAA, GA3, ABA, ZR, JA contents in the young spike of sterile and fertile plants of TGMS wheat line C412S sowing at different date were analyzed. The enzymes activities of aldehyde oxidase, which is the key enzyme of IAA biosynthesis, the IAA-oxydase, IAA- peroxidase and peroxidase, which play a role of oxygenolysis to IAA, were comparatively investigated. The purpose of these analysis were to reveal the relationship between the plant hormone and the fertility alternation of TMGS wheat, to accumulate some information for expression and regulation mechanism of plant male sterility and to provide a theoretic basis for chemistry regulation on male sterility. The following are the main results:C412S was completely sterile with both the pollen fertility rate and the seed setting rate were 0% when it was sown on Oct.26, and it was normally fertile with the pollen fertility rate 65.8% and the seed setting rate 53.2% when it was sown on 20th Nov.
