Currently,many countries are exploring Green and pollution-free livestock feed additives.Seek and develop non-polluting, non-residues in livestock products. With the attention of the safety of livestock products, much attention was payed to Monascus because of its "green and security" essence and unique biological features. In this experiment, the Monascus mixed with traditional Chinese medicine as a feed additive, then added Monascus Chinese medical compound preparation in the layer feed. To study its influence on egg quality, egg nutrient composition and storage conditions. Provide a theoretical basis for the application of livestock production of Monascus Chinese medical compound preparation.In this experiment,216(400-day-old) healthy and weight the same size Hy-line laying hens were randomly divide into three groups, each group was assigned4replications and18layers per replication. The control group I were fed with the basic diets, treatment Ⅱ、Ⅲ fed with the basal diets supplemented with Monascus Chinese medicine compound preparation0.5%and1%.The period was divided into two phases including7days of pre-experiment and49days of experiment, amount56days.Results:The basal diets supplemented with Monascus Chinese medicine compound preparation can effectively improve egg quality. The contents of cholesterol in egg were evidently reduced (P<0.05). And it also can extend the shelf life of the eggs. It was better to add0.5%Monascus Chinese medicine compound preparation to the diet.
