Coversation tillage technology is the important content of building modern agriculture as well as animportant technical measure which increased the farmer’s income, so it is paid great attention by farmers andthe society. Nevertheless, the practice of Conservation Tillage is inclined for the Seed-discharging Pipe to beblocked or seeding absent because the soil surface has been covered by a large amount of straw. As a result, it’simportant to monitor the working conditions of No-tillage Seeder with an observation system. This SeederObservation System is based on the intelligence sensor of SDI-12communication protocol. It could realize themode of the real-time detection, demonstrate the gathered data and give a sounding and light alarm. The mainstudy contents are as follows:1. Intelligent sensor design: the design is based on the SDI-12communication protocol, the infraredlight-emitting diodes and infrared photodiode, intelligent sensor that composed of a single-chip microcomputermainly to detect from planting leakage, blockage, planter row of the amount of seed box and fat boxes ofmaterial level of performance parameters.2. Data collector design: circulating collected intelligent sensor data, and through RS-485interface circuittransmits the data to the alarm device for display and alarm the abnormal conditions.3. Design of sound and light alarming system: sound alarming system takes into account the installationand simplification of the circuit, so it uses one single alarm. Each line of the installation uses a lamp, whensowing normally; the indicator light is always in off state; when the conducting pipe or the opener obstructed,it can send out sound and light indicator in time.4. The display system design: the design of the LCD module displays the test data and trouble, can bemore intuitive and easily grasp sowing condition.The test results show that this monitor system can commendably accomplish the detection of workcondition of seeding tube. The system state is stable, accurate and reliable and the test data can satisfy thedesign requirements.
