Heliconia is a general term of Heliconias in Heliconiaceae, belongs to herbaceousperennial plant and tropical ornamental plant. Heliconia varieties have been introducedfor trial planting in Luoyang in rencent years. The planting showed most plants hadpoor growth, severe disease, rotty root and leaf spot, this cause great influences onintroduction and cultivation of Heliconia in Henan by decreasing quality and limitingexpanded production. The consistency of the kinds and reasons of disease aboutHeliconia in Luoyang and oversea is lack of research. In this study, pot culturedHeliconia was surveyed, pathogens were classificated and identificated according tothe symptom and morphological characteristics of pathogens, combied with themolecular biological methods.17strains were separated from different parts of the disease by field investigationand indoor identification, according to colony characteristics,spores and spore produc-tion structure characteristics, and with DNA identification, then three different funguswere identificated as following:1. Cylindrocladium spathiphylli Schoulties,El-Gholl&Alfieri, foreign reportssaid the sexual stage of this fungi is Calonectria humicola, but no sexual stages werefound in the observations.2. Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (Penz.) Penz.&Sacc. It’s sexual period isGlomerella cingulata (Stoneman) Spauld.&H.Schrenk, the sexual phases weren’tfound as well.3. Fusarium oxysporum, sexual phases belongs to Nectria sp., perfect stagesdidn’t show in the study.The result of pathogenicity showed back inoculation tests of the three fungus canall cause plant disease and make plant produce the typical symptom, among them, Cylindrocladium spathiphylli have the fastest and most serious disease,with disease inroot and leaf,quality of Heliconia was influenced.The result showed the sensitivity of throphanate-methyl70%on Cylindrocladiumspathiphylli was strongest. EC50was7.2538mg/L; the sensitivity of carbendazim60%took second place, EC50was13.907mg/L, EC50of mancozeb80%is the highest, itwas632.390mg/L.With binary combinations, thiophanate-methyl70%, carbendazim60%andtriadimefon25%WP were mixed in a certain proportion, it showed a synergism insome proportion,but the effect wasn’t the same.
