The research of soil started from a very early time. Now soil is considered as natural synthesis forming by factors such as parent material, climate, topography, biological and time. Soil is located in the border zone of lithosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and atmosphere. The development of soil will directly affect the entire economic and social sustainable development. The characteristics of soil system are open, evolutionary, emerging and non-linear. There are many elements in soil system and the forming, developing and declining of soil system are dynamic evolution processes. Then soil systems are considered as typical complex systems. For these reasons, the existing theories for soil concept and evaluation methods have not reached a unified consensus. In this paper, the definition of soil is thought over and the essence of soil is analyzed carefully. This paper argues that the soil system can be treated as communal, organic, functional, multi-hierarchical, self-training, evolving, self-pattern emerging from borderless network. Then the dynamic equation which controls the forming, developing and declining processes of soil system can be derived, it will describe the forming and evolution process of real word that a stable pattern will self-emerging through endless comparing the relationships and collecting information, this process must fulfill the first principle, that Maximum Flux Principle (MFP). Based on this, a new model for the evaluation and prediction can be constructed.Based on the theory, this paper proposed a specific model algorithm. With the neural network provided by MATLAB, the dynamic equation that controls patterns can be resolved. According to the process that the elements reach stable through self-emerging, the numerical simulation method of new theoretical framework can be established. Therefore, the new model could give evaluation about the structure state of any complex system, including the soil system. At the mean time, it could also supply the prediction results of complex system, in order to make some constructive comments for regulation of patterns. At end of the paper, three typical soil systems are cited and the structural patterns are analyzed. These three cases show that the new model will make accurate assessment for soil quality, reflect the temporal and spatial variation of patterns and realize the regulation and prediction about soil system. In addition, in order to show that the new model is aiming at the general object, involving many fields including physical, chemical, biological, economic and social fields, this paper shows a case of meridian system. From the opinion of new model, the meridian system is constructed by information as much as possible to forming a pattern, this pattern can reflect the changes of meridian system to a certain extent, provide some reference for the research of traditional Chinese medicine theory. All the cases show the true application value of the new model. The maximum flow principle and its methods provide a new worldview and methodology of organic linked and dynamic evolution; this model can deduce everything in the world from microscopic particles to the social structure. This new worldview will provide a major revelation for sustainable development.
