| Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is in karst area, limestone is very rich, theexploitation of limestone is low,this region is lack of igneous rocks such as basalt. Guangxitransportation development rapidly, need a lot of road aggregates, if purchase basalt wasexpensive. Guangxi’s economic is underdevelopment, the Guangxi funds for construction islimited. Far purchase will increase the cost of the project which is not conducive to thedevelopment of transport. Domestic engineers select road surface coarse aggregate, oftenchoose higher value of polished igneous rocks, don’t consider low polished value such aslimestone. But even if use basalt, pavement is also prone to early damage, Asphalt Pavementpavement life can’t reach the design specification, surface layer is millinged, high qualityaggregate is wasted.This paper surveys the total resources of limestone mineral and the coarse aggregateusage in the surface layer of asphalt pavement in Guangxi. Test the physical and mechanicalproperties of limestone coarse aggregate in quarry near Six Walled-Yizhou highway, foundthe performance meet regulatory requirements; survey the disease of a typical sections inNan-You highway, propose new SAC-13asphalt mixture; And select Large Hole quarry’scoarse aggregate to design SAC-13asphalt mixture mix, determine the optimum asphaltcontent and the amount of backgauge, carried road performance experimental validation,prove limestone coarse aggregate mixture performance meet regulatory requirements.Pave SAC-13limestone coarse aggregate mix and SAC-13basalt coarse aggregate mixesindoor experimental sections, and use a small accelerated and loaded instrument namedMMLS3to do loading experiments on both types of pavement indoor, and timingmeasurements skid indicators of road, research the skid attenuation.In order to provide practical solutions that limestone coarse aggregate used in roadsurface layer in Guangxi region,in this paper, built600meters of the surface layer test sectionall with limestone coarse aggregate in Liuzhai-Yizhou highway, SAC-13asphalt mixturetype,and carry pavement site detection, detection results is fully compliant with regulatoryrequirements, save the cost of the projec, promote healthy sustainable and greenenergy-saving development of highway. |
