The application of air suspension put forward a higher request to the ridingcomfort, ride comfort and handling stability.Air spring suspension with its withvariable stiffness characteristics, the ideal frequency response etc, and it improves theperformance of auto greatly.This paper use a domestic luxury bus as the research object, with the aid ofADMAS software establish the dynamic model of the vehicle, research the car ridecomfort and handling stability, provides fast dynamics and kinematics analysisapproach for the new models of developing. The main research contents include:(1) according to the characteristics of air suspension, analysis the factors ofinfluence air suspension performance of suspension system important elastic elementair spring calculation, determine its stiffness, frequency and damping and analyzes thecharacteristics of the influencing factors.(2) based on multi-body system dynamics theory, using the ADAMS software toestablish including front and rear the suspension, steering system, power assembly,tires, automobile body suspension virtual prototype model.(3) The air suspension bus in random input and pulse input conditions for comfortsimulation, the commonly used car speed the riding comfort are analyzed andevaluated, we can see that the assembly air suspension bus riding comfort to is superiorto the equipped with leaf spring suspension of bus obviously.(4) The air suspension bus on the steady state turning test and steering wheel Anglestep input transient response simulation, it can be concluded that assembly airsuspension car steady-state characteristics and transient properties are superior to leafspring suspension of bus.
