Ride comfort and handling stability are the important performances of the vehicle, and coordination of the two relations gets more and more attention in the optimal design. According to the project requirements, Suspension system affects on the vehicle ride and handling stability. This paper just analyzes the influence of the leaf spring stiffness on the vehicle ride comfort and handling stability, uses ADAMS simulation analysis and MATLAB optimization analysis, considering ride comfort and handling stability come to the car’s front axle leaf spring matching optimization results.Firstly, in order to facilitate the modeling can simplify the leaf spring into monolithic spring, using ADAMS establish its dynamic model, which is assembled into the vehicle model, experimental data with the real vehicle and simulation data for comparison to verify the correctness of the model and leaf springs.Secondly, through theoretical analysis of the mathematical model and simulation analysis in ADAMS come to the leaf spring stiffness impact on the steering return-ability, and compare the two results, then verify the feasibility of the method.Finally, the establishment of six degrees of freedom vehicle model, considering ride comfort and handling stability in the theoretical analysis, writing optimization program about the dual front axle leaf spring stiffness of the car on the vehicle performance in MATLAB, comparing The results of before and after optimization, those studies have shown that leaf spring stiffness optimized to better meet the requirements of the Automotive Performance.
