| When electric energy transmits in conductive medium, the equipment will generate heat because of the loss caused by resistance. Especially when there is bad connection between conduction medium, it can lead to dielectric loss, leakage current and the contact resistance increase. This will cause local heat and temperature increasing. If the electrical equipment works in high temperature condition for long-term and at the same time the electric material works in abnormal temperature that is high than working temperature for a long time, the life of the insulating medium will greatly reduce, so that the electric power equipment failure happens. Therefore, the temperature monitoring of power equipment by the real-time temperature monitoring and early warning is an important mean to prevent electrical equipment failure and to ensure the safety of power grid.In this paper, we introduce a kind of optical fiber grating (FBG) temperature sensor based on the Bragg diffraction principle and WDM technology, which uses embedded software and hardware platform. The system could be installed on the high voltage switch cabinet and other power equipment. This paper studies a real-time online optical fiber grating temperature measurement and early warning system which has strong electromagnetic interference resistance ability and powerful data processing function.This article introduces the design thought of the optical fiber grating temperature measurement and early warning system and design ideas of hardware and software. The system mainly includes ASE broadband light source,3db coupler,1×16optical switch.1×9optical splitter, optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG), wavelength demodulation instrument and data processing module. System hardware which uses the high performance embedded CPU is different from the existing industrial control system has higher reliability and more powerful data processing function. The software system adopted Linux embedded system and QT integrated development environment, making the system’s software architecture reasonable and easy to develop. And also, it ensures the software’s real-time and robustness. At the same time, in order to meet the demand of intelligent substation construction of state grid, the system set up a variety of communication interfaces, supporting CDT45I-91. IEC101, IEC104, MODBUS. IEC61850, etc a variety of specifications.The last part of this paper is some analysis to this fiber Bragg grating temperature measurement and early warning system and prospect of its application in other electrical equipment. |
