The integrated assessment of the marine main power plant is one important aspect of marine engine management, and also the most important issue of marine engineer’s scientific decision-making. Now, with navy’s mission expansion and the accelerating development of the information construction, it’s urgent to achieve a scientific, accurate and systematic level. In order to provide a scientific basis for the management and maintenance of marine main power plant, this paper builds an integrated assessment model for one certain type marine main power plant by Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), processes the underlying indicators by fuzzy theory and neural network theory, and calculates the its scores by the weighted scoring method.Firstly, this paper introduces the main condition monitoring methods and the basic characteristics of the main power plant, analyses the characteristics of the integrated assessment methods, investigates the feasibility of the AHP for the marine main power plant, and summarizes the characteristics of the underlying indicators and the application of the fuzzy theory and neural network in it.Secondly, this paper introduces the basic theory of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and establishes the integrated assessment model of the main power plant by AHP. This paper sets its basic principles and summarizes its contents and specific indicators. This paper obtains the expert evaluation matrix by expert investigation and calculates the weight value of each indicators.In succession, this paper processes the underlying indicators and obtains the corresponding scores. In order to assess the upper indicators, this paper obtains the upper integrated scores by weighted scoring method, and gives the proposed advices corresponding to state levels in order to guide the management and maintenance better.Finally, based on the research of a certain type main power plant condition assessment and the actual assessment, we can get the following conclusions:analytic hierarchy process is an effective method for building assessment model, fuzzy theory and BP neural network solve the dealing of the underlying data. The practical application of the assessment method can provide a scientific basis for the manager.
