Energy is an important material foundation of human production and life, and energy supply is the driving force of economic development. The coal is China’s major energy, national statistics of energy consumption structure in2011shows that consumption of coal accounts for72%of the total. And in the future for a long period of time, China’s energy consumption is still coal-based. China’s coal resources are concentrated in Shanxi, Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia, and consumption in the eastern coastal area. There is space dislocation of the production and consumption of the coal, which leads a huge demand for coal transportation, and so does the economic growth. But this also brings tremendous pressure to the coal transportation corridors.Since the Reform and Opening Strategy came out, China began to focus on transportation infrastructure. The government puts forward to accelerate the construction of the transportation corridor of the Northwest Territories and the central and eastern region, southwest and northwest regions for meeting the growing demand for freight and passenger transportation. Coal transportation is the focus of freight in China. In this case, as a coal exporting province, Shaanxi Province also proposes to strengthen its hub function, the construction of the railway network and energy channel expansion. Even so, the supply of coal transportation still cannot meet the transport needs, the development of society is seriously restricted by the bottleneck in transport corridors. How to plan the construction of coal’s railway transportation corridors, and to optimize that is the main problem.This paper gives analysis of China’s coal resources, coal transportation channels, which focus on Shaanxi Province. To establish a multiple regression model by using SPSS software to analyze and predict changes in demand of coal transportation in Shaanxi Province, and through a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods in Shaanxi Province coal transportation corridor optimized planning to optimize the planning of Shaanxi Province coal transportation corridor, to alleviate the current Shaanxi Province coal transportation channel capacity bottlenecks. Through research and calculation, it gets Shaanxi Province coal traffic forecast in the next few years, which will continue to grow. And with the knowledge of the structure of Shaanxi Province coal transportation corridors, transport distance and freight, we can come out with an optimization program.
