In recent years, with China’s economy and the construction industry development, the demand of large crane is increasing. The large crane plays an important role in wind construction, nuclear power construction, fire building and offshore lifting occasions, but at the same time related security incidents are constantly increasing. In order to improve the safety of crane construction process, most traditional cranes installed lifting moment limitator and capacity limitator to protect the security of the lifting process, repeatedly reported crane overturning accidents illustrate that it’s necessary to further strengthen the crane safety precautions. This thesis made a thorough research on the traditional monitoring technology in crane lifting process, designed and implemented a "large crane hoisting process on-line monitoring based on CAN bus system", achieved real-time monitoring of large crane hook deflection and horizontal inclination so as to reduce crane work accident.This thesis mainly completed the following several aspects of work:1.Analyzed the work lifting equipment state monitoring technology development and research situation at home and abroad, expounded the research purpose and meaning. At the same time thoroughly discussed wireless communication technology and the CAN bus2.In view of the traditional large crane hoisting process safety risk, combined with the actual requirements and design principle of the monitoring system, put forward the overall scheme of the "large crane hoisting process on-line monitoring based on CAN bus system", and analyzed the design ideas of the scheme and key technologies which need to be solved.3.Designed the monitoring system hardware platform which consists of the hook angle measurement module, the ZigBee wireless data transceiver module, the CAN controller module, the horizontal angle measurement module and the display module, achieved communication between the various modules through CAN bus and wireless network.4.In view of the work demand for the monitoring system, designed and implemented the "large crane hoisting process on-line monitoring based on CAN bus system" software platform.5.Through multiple debugging, finally realized the measurement of hook deflection and horizontal angle and can real time display it on man-machine interface.Laboratory test results show that the measurement data of the monitoring system is in good agreement with the reference data with good accuracy. At the same time, the system uses wireless transmission module, no wiring, easy to operate, will enhance the efficiency and safety factor of the crane, has a good application prospect.
