Study On Public Space Management System During Great Events

With the development of economy and society, and the continuous expansion of the city, the urban public space area is becoming larger and events in public space are larger and more diverse. During the great events, public space often exhibits a distinctive theme as well as a big flow of people, which put forward higher requirements for the management on the public space. In this paper, with research on local and international theories as well as related cases in Shanghai, on the basis of system theory, teases out9essential factors and build a public space management system during great events. This system contains3systems (organization system, work content system and emergency system) and9management sub-system corresponding to the9essential factors. This paper also includes the case study of this system applied to Guyi Garden National Lotus Exhibition, which provides a reference for the management of great events in public space in the future, and reference for building of other related management system.
