With the rapid development of domestic tourism, in order to meet the needs of thetourism market,A company decided to develop luxury bus which transformed from coach.Thechanges of two models in the body structure were that the middle of door in right side was set,at the top of bus the air-conditioner was added and a closed loop was adjusted.To researchstatic, dynamic characteristics of the bus structure,using finite element method did Static and dynamic analysis. And to get Rollover Safetydid the bus rollover simulation. Based on these to research the problem in the bus bodystructure,and gived the reasonable suggestions,improved the bus performance, shorten theproduct development cycle, reduced the cost of development.Bus body structure is complex.By using the finite element pre-processing to get model isdifficult. Therefore, the method is direct to set3D model into HyperMesh,This paper firstlyanalyses the changes of body structure after restructuring.Based on this the geometric modelof bus body structure was set up using UG software.Then the finite element model wasestablished. Study on static and dynamic analysis and rollover simulation discovered:(1)Doing analysis of the static and dynamic about bus body structure, the beam element can bebetter and save calculation.(2) Owing to high demand on finite element model of rolloversimulation of, used the shell element to improve accuracy. In the modeling process, bus bodystructure was simplified reasonably, and considered different quality and loading on bus bodystructure when they were treatment-ed.Combined with the four typical conditions which the bus may be encountered in theactual operation,did analysis Then have done a detailed analysis of static about bus bodystructure,and did the analysis of the body structure strength and stress deformation. Fond outthe weak points of bus body structure. At the same time in order to get the bus dynamicperformance,did the body structure of modality analysis,and got the natural frequency and thecorresponding vibration mode,then discussed the effect about dynamic combines with road excitation and the roughness of ground. Then did rollover simulation, discovered it wasunreasonable. In order to further improve the strength and performance of rollover. On thebasis of the above results, the bus body structure had been improved locally. The bus passedthe rollover test,and verified the rationality of finite element analysis.
