| The internal flow of centrifugal compressor is a very complicated aerodynamic issue, and the numeric calculation can only produce some preliminary results, which may have errors, especially at the surge point and the non.design point. To completely understand the real flow field and flow rule of the air flow in compressor as well as the aerodynamic performance of the air flow at the non.design point, and to completely solve the potential problems existing in compressor design, the compressor test must be applied. This paper makes a detailed introduction of the structural design of the rig module of a dual stages centrifugal compressor, which is used to validate the performance design of this compressor, to obtain the compressor test characteristic curve, and to provide the technical reserve necessary for type application.Firstly, this paper analyzes the design requirements of the rig module (including aerodynamic design results, performance test requirements, test system requirements, test equipment and other requirements) and finally determines the general structural layout of the rig module.Based on the general structural layout, the front and rear support structures (with only two supporting points) of the rotor are determined. Because of the high speed and heavy weight of the rotor, how to reach the high speed requirement is the biggest problem that need be solved during the structural design. Therefore, this paper gives great emphasis on the structural design of the rotor.By analyzing the rotor structures of the middle and small.sized aero.engines, this paper defines the requirements of the rotor structural design, lists the structures of the flexible support, the squeeze film damper and the amplitude limiting unit as well as their applications, and determines the structural layout of the rotor. Then the bearing is selected. The flexible support and the squeeze film damper are designed based on the dynamic characteristic analysis of the rotor, and the axial pre.tightening force of the rotor is defined. The strength analysis of the main parts of the rotor is finished and the allowable unbalance of the rotor is calculated out.Then this paper briefly introduces the performance of the stator, and also explains the setting of the adjustment shim and the adjustment of the axial clearance. The analysis shows that the stator design is feasible and the clearance adjustment is reachable.After the completion of design, the validation for the manufacture, assembly and test of the rig module is performed, in order to guarantee that the design is feasible and can meet the expectant targets. |
