The dynamic simulation device of active control system is one of the mostimportant parts of power system dynamic simulation laboratories, which mainly usedto simulate self-balancing characteristics of prime movers, steam pipes and speedgovernors. It is a critical tool for researching major power system interfering issuesand electromechanical transient processes. Thus improving the stability of the powersystem both in static and dynamic state is significant.At present, the prime mover system in the power system dynamic simulationlaboratory used the single-chip computer as control core, which caused problemssuch as complicated hardware circuits, poor antijamming capabilities and generality,slow responding speed and low simulation accuracy issues. This paper aims todesign an active control system simulator using new DSP controlled powergenerators to combine digital-physical simulation, hence to better solve the issuesstated above. Besides, parameter sensibility method was used to study the influencesfrom model parameters during dynamic responding process of the simulating device,which had its’ valuable references in terms of improving simulation accuracy.The Paper well elaborated the hardware circuit and software programs of thesimulating system. The hardware includes the main circuit, operating circuit anddigital controlled circuit. The main circuit is the energy transition platform of thesystem which consists of armature loop, excitation circuit, meas display and maincircuit protection part. All switch functions and principles of the operating systemare explained in details. Digital control circuit is the core of the simulation systemwhich has also been introduced, specifically with its’ design principle and modelselection of its’ components. DSP control system program, STC89C58focusedman-machine interactive programs are also designed.The sensitivity rate respondedby various important parameters of the active control system of the power generatorhas been calculated by trajectory sensitivity, which provides great theoreticalsupport in enhancing simulating accuracy of the active control system.
