The simulation system of prime mover is one of the most important parts in the power system dynamic simulation laboratory. it simulates the real prime mover(hydraulic turbine and steam turbine) and governor in power system, in order to research the power system big disturbance question and mechanical and electrical transition process. From Analysising the characteristics of prime mover and Governor,based on similar theory, DC motor and its control system can be used to simulate the prime mover system. In the past,the control system of prime mover always designed with analogous circuit, but in analogous circuit the structural simulation of complex circuits, electronic components vulnerable to aging, vulnerability to environmental temperature, the anti-jamming capability shortcomings such as the poor, studying the all digital control prime mover simulation system to overcome the above shortcoming, enhance the accuracy and the reliability in the simulation has the important theory and the practical significance.
