As a warhead, EFP’ forming technology is a important technology. In this thesis, firstly, numerical simulation of EFP’s molding have been done by using the finite element program LS-DYNA, and the main parameters that impact the EFP’s formability, flight stability and terminal effects, include structure and material of shell、structure and material of liner、 structure of explosive charge、ignition method and so on, which have analyzed. By analyzing the numerical simulation results, then got various parameters on the influence law of EFP performance. On that basis, combination of numerical simulation, experiment bomb was designed, the simulation results showed that the EFP which formed by experiment bomb had a speed about2200m/s, and it was spherical, with a well compactness and a high kinetic energy. Then have done the EFP’s penetration experiment and the soft recovery trial. The experimental result showed that, the designed EFP could penetrate the target of a predetermined thickness, and the EFP formed by soft recovery trial had a similar shape with the designed EFP. This paper also made some research about MEFP, focal on detonation wave’s interference between the various sub-projectile. Through the theoretical analysis and test research method, designed the reasonable initiation interval time for a beam support MEFP warhead, and finished the verification test. In engineering design, this paper studies has important guidance functions.
