Planting steel is a new reinforcement technique, but it is different from planting bartechnique, because the new reinforcement technique can fully play the advantages of the steelsection properties to form―steel–concrete‖structure. The technique can be used to bothreinforce the original structure and work with the new concrete.According to the planting steel pull-out test, it was found that the strength grade ofconcrete, steel sections and anchorage depths can affect the planting steel strength and thefailure modes. At the same time, the relations between the anchorage depths with the strengthgrade of concrete and the steel sections was studied. In the end the reasonable anchoragedepths with different state was tried to found. The strength grade of concrete, steel sections and anchorage depths were as theinfluenced factors in the orthogonal test. According to the orthogonal test to do the pull-outtest and obtain the data. Conjunction with the deformation, cracking and failurecharacteristics, the anchor mechanism and bond-slip constitutive relation were tried to reveal. It can provide theoretical guidance for the plant steel technology engineering design andapplication.Through the test resultants, we can draw the following conclusions:(1) Under different loads, in the same anchorage depth and the same type of steel: thenode displacement increases with the load increases, and the free end displacement adds fasterthan the anchorage end. The load slip curve tends to level with steel yield failure.(2) Under different loads and different anchoring depth with the same type of steel, theslip increases with the anchorage depth. The load slip curve tends to level with steel yieldfailure.(3) The order of three influence factors and the optimum scheme were obtained.(4) The air in the hole shoulded affect the planting steel strength, it is better to dischargethe air to avoid the new hole hollowing.(5) The anchorage end should be fully rust removal, decontamination and straightening.(6)The hole should ensure clean and dry in order to ensure the adhesion strength.
