This paper studies an anchorage of angle steel and concrete, which has important applications in the construction of electric power facilities. The traditional anchorage uses angle steel or clinch nail as anchorage element. This design method is too conservative and the bearing capacity is low. This paper puts forward a new type of anchorage, which uses steel bar and steel plate as anchorage element. This new type of anchorage has higher bearing capacity, smaller anchorage length, smaller size of the concrete foundation and more economic benefit. Also, an acceptable calculation formula is provided on the basis of tests and analysis.In this study, four types of anchorage were investigated, A-type without anchorage element, B-type with welded steel bar, C-type with welded steel plate, and D-type with both steel bar and steel plate. Forty-six pull-out tests and four compression tests are completed in this paper. The main parameters of test are anchorage length, depth, number and spacing of anchorage element and concrete strength. The test results show failure modes, ultimate bearing capacity and stress distribution of every specimen.By analyzing the relationship between the ultimate bearing capacity and test parameters, and the failure mechanism of pull out failure, splitting failure, punching failure and press in failure, the calculation formulas of ultimate bearing capacity of anchorage are provided. A finite element simulation method, based on ABAQUS, is carried out as well, to study the stress distribution and estimate the ultimate bearing capacityThe following conclusions can be obtained on the basis of test and analysis:1. The adhesion strength of the angle steel and concrete has an importantcontribution to the ultimate bearing capacity, which can not be neglected;2. The ultimate bearing capacity of A-type specimen is decided by the pull-outfailure, while that of B-type specimen, C-type specimen and D-type specimen aredecided by splitting failure and punching failure;3. Ultimate bearing capacity can be improved by increasing anchorage length, depthof anchorage element and concrete strength, while increasing spacing of anchorageelement has little effect on it; 4. To improve ultimate bearing capacity of angle steel, setting anchorage element isrecommended and D-type anchorage is the best choice;...
