Electronic level is a high precision height measuring instrument. It has reading objective,high measurement accuracy, high response speed, reduce work intensity drastically and easyto realize leveling inside and outside industry integration, So it has been widely used inconstruction, traffic, water conservancy, aviation, military, earthquakes and engineeringdeformation monitoring, etc. But because of its application time is not long, so at presentthere’s no recognized test method is rational and perfect. In the practical work, the testmethod which is used by measurement department has low efficiency and pretty much errorsources. The purpose of this study is through the use of indoor test device to replace outdoormethod, reduce the error sources, and finally to improve work efficiency.This paper research content mainly includes the following points: Summarized thedomestic and foreign research present situation, and analyzed the characteristics andlimitations of two kinds of method: System Accuracy Verification and Separate Verification;Through the analysis of electronic level principle and measurement algorithm, the main errorsources were found out, and the method of reduce error was developed; According to theprinciple of parallel light tube imaging, it can build1m to infinity virtual, by the use of thischaracteristic, a new test device was built, so as to replace outdoor method which uses2meters or3meters of indium steel bar code scale measurement. This device let outdoorexperiment site moved to indoor, this made originally need the distance at least60m aboveoutside and many people cooperation work status becoming6m range indoor and can becompleted by one person. The experiment proceeded in temperature, humidity constant indoorspace and avoided the climate factors outdoor and the influence of the objectiveenvironmental. This greatly simplified the original test work and improved the workefficiency.The measurement data of this device were compared with that get in traditional methodoutdoor measured. And the reliability is verified by measured data of error of electroniccollimation axis, standard deviation of altitude difference, electronic compensating error,leveled error, etc. Also we analyzed and evaluated the error of mean square and proved thatthe system measuring accuracy of this new test device is applied to electronic level verifying.It was reasonable and feasible. We can get that the measuring stability of this new device isobviously superior to the outdoor method from the measurement data. And it is worthapplication and promotion.
