There are more and more staffs buying personal private vehicles, which lead to increasingnumber of campus vehicles day by day. At the same time, a large number of outside vehiclesdrive through the campus arbitrarily and park disorderly, which put much pressure on thesaturated traffic of campus. In order to control the flows of the outside vehicles, to ease pressureof the campus traffic, and to create a safe, orderly, harmonious campus environment, this paperdesigns a kind of campus intelligent vehicle management system based on ETC (Electronic TollCollection) by means of the ETC electronic tag.On the basis of referring to plenty of domestic and foreign literature, this paper makes someresearch on intelligent data acquisition and intelligent information handling in accordance withthe technical route of system modeling, hardware selection, model research, algorithm design, case study and effect evaluation, which relies on the development of large-scale informationsystem projects. It mainly contains in the following aspects:First, it elaborates the design of the campus intelligent vehicle management system fromthree aspects: requirement analysis, system workflow and architecture.Furthermore, it discusses the key technology for system realization, which mainly includesthe design model of lane, the configuration of hardware parameters of ETC, the intelligent datasynchronization algorithm based on Winsock, the intelligent identification and pass-throughalgorithm for multi-types vehicle based on ETC and IC card.At last, the paper gives the specific running instance of the campus intelligent vehiclemanagement system from three modules respectively, which are the main module of the frontsentry box system, data transmission system and the background vehicle management system. Asa conclusion, the effect evaluation for the system implementation is given.
