Design And Implementation Of Vehicle Navigation Search System Along Road

Traffic dispersion and management have been an important task of the transportation sector in city. With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, the family automobile has become more and more popular. People enjoy the convenience brought by the automobile, but also subjected to the heavy traffic annoyance. Through using computer and communications technology for car navigation systems, to provide information to vehicles traveling on the road, to guide the vehicle to avoid the blockade roads, in accordance with the best line to reach the destination. Easy for people to travel, and also to a large extent, alleviate traffic problems, so the research and development of vehicle navigation system is significant in-depth.The implementation of this thesis is search system along road which is a part of the vehicle navigation system. The system’s implementation is based on KIVI map data that through the establishment of a reasonable retrieval model to achieve efficient data retrieval process. Windows XP as the development platform, as well as ITRON as the operation platform of the system. The system includes the following functions:map data production function, regional search function, HMI search results update function. The system will retrieve data quickly to provide the HMI layer for displaying, and give users more comfortable operating experience.Firstly, this thesis introduces the realistic significance of system development. Then an overview of vehicle navigation system is given, and the introduction of GPS and map data is given. Then a detailed analysis of the system is conducted, explaining technical scheme of system implementation and development environment. Followed by, a detailed explanation of the functional design. Then in the implementation part, the implementation method for each module of the system is introduced by way of combining text, flowcharts and sequence diagram. Finally, testing method is illustrated, and aspects for the system to improve are given as well.
